I was watching the Bruins v. LEEEEEEEEAAAAAAFS on the NHL Network today and was getting bummed ‘cause all the good nicknames I was coming up with for various players were already thought of by other people (according to Google).

Awesome names like Andre “Bell Biv” Deveaux and Byron “Ballroom” Bitz.

One name, however, ISN’T in popular use just yet. Maybe it’ll catch on:

Mike Der Kommissarek.

Yes. Because of the Falco song.

Didn’t mean to give you the impression that I was shuttin ‘er down, ‘cause I’m not. Alls I’m lookin’ fur is a fresh start, mmhmm.

New town, new school… s’time for a clean slate, methinks. Yes, I realize this is the second time I’ll be wiping down my blog in under a month.

Don’t look at me like that. I mean, yeah, it’s pretty well documented that I am, in fact, a moody crybaby, but this time I’m serious. I’m starting fresh.

The two events are totally unrelated. Last month I wanted to reinvent myself. Today, I want to have fun blogging again.

Here’s my three-point plan for the future of this blog:

We gotta do this once a week!

The people that participate in Blog365 and NaBloPoMo scare the shit out of me. How do they do it? Is it weird that I can’t find the time to blog daily even though my entire life revolves around sitting, the WWF circa 1989, pizza, the Grand Theft Auto franchise of games, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, ESPNews and yelling at Law & Order when they violate evidentiary rules?

I think mandating a minimum 1 entry per week does not present too great a burden. I can do it and I’m sure I’ll be happier for it.

Be myself!

Because I might find myself by myself and on the Internet, that’s no fun.

I’m not entirely sure what I meant by that. I just wanted to paraphrase Mr. Magic from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Yes, I’m 26. Yes, I have a girlfriend…

…which dovetails nicely with point 3:

Lay off the girlfriend!

I don’t think I’m fooling anyone anymore when I say “I hate her”. It’s been over two years and while I may have (petty) problems with her, it’s pretty obvious I kinda sorta like her a lot a lot a lot.

And that’s about it. Let the good times roll.

P.S. You needn’t point out that everything I’ve ever written has been cached by Google and that my fresh start isn’t so fresh after all.  Well aware.
